Welcome to our Long Beach slide show! Long Beach is approximately 28 miles long and has a half-mile long boardwalk. It is famous for clamming, beachcombing and the International Kite Festival. Founded in 1805 by Lewis & Clark, it was originally inhabited by the Chinook Indians. Settlers and the military moved in around 1850 or so, building the lighthouse at Cape Disappointment.
