Multnomah Falls

Multnomah Falls is not only Oregon's tallest waterfall, it's also the most visited tourist attraction in the state.  Each day, thousands of visitors pull off the freeway to snap photos of the 611-foot, two-tiered cascade.

The traditional, 700-foot elevation-gain, 2.2 mile round-trip trail to the top of the falls is now open again, thanks to major renovation of the trail after the devastating 1996 floods.  The trail is now paved, with a new lookout platform right at the top.
