Welcome to our Ice Hotel slide show!  This slide show details our trip to Jukkasjärvi, a small Sami village in the arctic north of Sweden, roughly 200 km ( 125 miles) north of the Arctic Circle.  Jukkasjärvi is home to the world-famous Ice Hotel, the world's largest igloo.  The hotel has 60 rooms, an Ice-bar, and ice-chapel (above), an ice-sauna, and an ice-cinema. We visited in January, normally full operating season for the hotel, but due to unusually warm temperatures and low snowfall, the hotel was still under construction when we were there, though it was open for the season.  To begin the slide show, click on the arrow below.
